Love, Social Networks

The Economist is running an article on the the neurobiological basis of love. One of the several good take home points is that humans probably express fairly wide variance in their capacity for differing sorts of love.

In a different sort of connection, The Experimental Study of Search in Global Social Networks suggests that searches were more likely to complete when at least one “remote” relationship is invoked, and that highly socially connected people are not the hub of social networks, at least as social searches are concerned; this paper largely confirms the six degrees of separation notion.
